EU AI Act · Technical readiness

Are your AI touchpoints ready for EU transparency requirements?

Complete a 7-minute technical readiness scan for chatbots, copilots, generative content, and AI-assisted customer experiences.

This assessment is a preliminary technical readiness tool and does not constitute legal advice or a determination of compliance.

EU AI Act transparency obligations apply from 2 August 2026.

The AI Act roll-out continues through 2 August 2027. Transparency is the part that applies now.

What the scan checks

Six technical dimensions, one readiness picture

AI touchpoint inventory

Whether you know, and have written down, where AI meets your customers and staff.

User disclosure and UI clarity

Whether people are told they are interacting with AI, clearly and before it matters.

Generative content handling

How AI-generated text, images, audio, and video are identified, reviewed, and published.

Human oversight and escalation

Whether users can reach a human when an AI interaction is not enough.

Logging and evidence

Whether you could reconstruct which models, prompts, and disclosures were live at any given time.

Governance and AI literacy

Whether AI use cases have accountable owners and staff trained for their role.

Top 3 priorities

  • Add clear disclosure before or at first AI interactionHigh priority
  • Create an inventory of AI systems and public-facing touchpointsHigh priority
  • Implement change logging for models, prompts, and releasesMedium priority

Example first step

Add a persistent, plainly worded notice (for example "You are chatting with an AI assistant") to the entry point of each AI touchpoint, starting with your highest-traffic channel.

Who it is for

Built for the people who own the touchpoints

CTO

Owns the systems the obligations attach to.

CISO

Owns evidence, logging, and control maturity.

Head of Digital

Owns customer-facing AI touchpoints.

Product leaders

Ship the features that need disclosure.

Customer experience

Runs the chatbots and support flows.

Compliance & operations

Coordinates the internal review.

How it works

Three steps, no strings attached

  1. 1

    Answer questions

There are 14 questions about your AI touchpoints, disclosures, content pipelines, and evidence. "Not sure" is a valid answer.

  2. 2

Receive an instant technical readiness result

You get a deterministic, rule-based score with prioritized gaps and practical first steps, with no waiting and no sales call.

  3. 3

Book a review if you need implementation support

FAQ

Straight answers to fair questions

Is this legal advice?

No. The scan is a preliminary technical readiness assessment built by engineers, not lawyers. It highlights potential transparency gaps in how your AI touchpoints are built and operated, based on the information provided. Anything it flags requires internal and/or legal review before you act on it as a legal matter.

Does this determine compliance?

No. The scan never determines whether you are compliant or non-compliant, because no online tool can. It produces a technical readiness score and a prioritized list of practical actions, so that the conversation with your legal and compliance colleagues starts from an accurate picture of your systems.

How long does it take?

About 5 to 7 minutes. There are 14 questions across company context, AI use cases, disclosure, generated content, and evidence. "Not sure" is always an acceptable answer. It lowers the assessment confidence and creates a verification action instead of blocking you.

Who should complete it?

Someone who knows how your AI touchpoints are actually built and run. That is typically a CTO, a Head of Digital, a product leader, or the engineering lead for your chatbot or content pipeline. If several people own different areas, complete it together or run it once per area.

What happens after I get the result?

You see your readiness result immediately and receive a detailed report by email. If you want implementation support, you can book a free 30-minute Technical Readiness Review with Outmatic, where we turn the findings into a concrete plan for your touchpoints, with no obligation either way.
